Chelsea & Arsenal line up move for Barcelona starlet

Arsenal and Chelsea will fight it out for the signature of highly-rated Barcelona striker Tonny Sanabria, according to respected Sky Italia journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio.

The 17-year-old is widely regarded as one of the brightest young prospects at La Masia, and had been linked with a move to Italy, with Serie 'A' side Udinese.

However, Premier League suitors are now understood to have muscled in on a prospective deal for the young Paraguayan star, in the hope of securing the talented teenager's services.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been credited with an interest in bringing Sanabria to the Emirates Stadium, in a move that mirror Cesc Fabregas's arrival in north London from Barcelona in 2003.

It was at Arsenal that Fabregas went on to establish himself as a full international for Spain, before returning to Camp Nou eight years later for an initial £35million fee.

Chelsea have also been mooted as admirers of the South American, with Jose Mourinho also looking to add the hottest up and coming talent to his ranks at Stamford Bridge.

Barcelona will be hoping to convince Sanabria to snub interest from the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, and pen a new contract in Spain. But, according to Di Marzio, the chances of that happening are becoming increasingly unlikely.
